My Art is Defined by...
My art may not be smooth nor perfectly detailed; it is not filled with the vibrant colours of life. But nor is life itself. I believe it is our place to find beauty in the world around us, accepting imperfections and appreciating their existence. Just as trees shed their leaves after sunny days to muster the strength to regrow during colder, darker times, I see my artwork as a representation of being perfectly imperfect. Once we recognize the light in these uncontrolled moments, we begin to understand their reason for existence and the intrinsic beauty they hold. My technique involves trusting my instincts and embracing the unpredictable factors that arise during the creative process. I welcome the "oops" and celebrate colouring outside the lines, as there are no strict guidelines to one's art-much like life itself. This journey transforms each piece into not just an obstacle to face but an enriching experience that defines courage, strength, and resilience. Ultimately, my art embodies the belief that it is perfectly okay to be imperfect, and in that embrace, we discover true beauty. I also believe we must find beauty within ourselves, in others, and in life. However, if one cannot see that beauty or embody it, then I encourage you to create it in the world. When you do, you may realize that creation comes from a mind that chooses to see all aspects of the world-both good and bad-and turn them into something wonderful. For me, that is beauty; for me, that is what I call magic! Believe in yourself. Because, I do!
